Privacy Policy

1. Information we process

Generation requests contain the prompts, code, settings, and any reference material you submit. LabDraft sends the information needed for a request to its AI providers: Groq, Google Gemini, or OpenRouter. A request may move to another available provider if the first cannot complete it. Generated content is not automatically added to your Library.

If you create an account, Supabase stores your account details. If you explicitly save a practical, its content and revisions are stored in your private Library. Saved preferences and account usage are also stored. Security audit records may include your account email, IP address, browser user agent, and the type of action performed; they do not intentionally contain prompts or generated content.

2. How we use this information

• To generate lab manuals and code output as requested
• To improve site performance and user experience
• To enforce rate limits and prevent abuse
• To maintain accounts, saved work, and security audit records

3. Service providers

We integrate with third-party AI provider platforms (Groq, Google Gemini, and OpenRouter) to process AI generation requests. Your input text is sent to these provider services solely to generate your requested content, in accordance with their respective terms and privacy policies.

Vercel hosts the website and processes standard request logs. Vercel Web Analytics records aggregated page-view information without third-party analytics cookies. Supabase provides account authentication and private data storage.

4. Cookies and browser storage

LabDraft uses cookies for signed-in sessions and, when configured, a signed device identifier to apply guest usage limits fairly on shared networks. These are functional cookies, not advertising cookies. Browser localStorage and sessionStorage hold display preferences, draft-related settings, and local usage counters. The local counters are not sent as account statistics; server-side usage is counted separately.

5. Advertising

LabDraft does not currently load an ad network or use advertising cookies. Before introducing ads, we will update this notice and implement the consent controls required for the selected provider and the regions where ads are shown.

6. Security and retention

We use HTTPS, input validation, access controls, security headers, and rate limits. Removing a practical from the Library is reversible, so a deleted item can remain stored for restoration. You can contact us about deletion of account data. Security audit records may be retained after an account is deleted; an automatic retention period for those records is not yet configured.

7. Children's privacy

LabDraft is used for education, but it is not designed to collect information from children beyond what is needed to provide the service. Please avoid putting sensitive personal information in prompts or uploaded material.
